You are required to give 48 hour notice if you will not attend a scheduled appointment. Bear in mind that when you schedule an appointment, that is time strictly reserved for you.
Cancellations made with short notice or failure to attend are subject to a cancellation fee equal to the full value of the session. Please note that your insurance will NOT cover the cost of a late cancellation or "no show" - you are responsible for this fee.
I do attempt to make reasonable accommodations for emergencies or unforeseen illnesses and may waive the fee at my discretion. If I should ever forget an appointment, I will owe you a "free" cancellation.

Yes, if the purpose of the therapy is to treat a medical or mental condition then you may pay with an FSA or HSA card. Therapy that is used for general mental well-being or stress relief alone does not qualify.
Yes, if I am in-network with your insurance plan, I will bill your plan through Headway (see below for more details).
If I am out-of-network, and you have out-of-network (OON) benefits, then your insurance company may reimburse you for some or all of the cost of therapy. If your insurance card says PPO, then you likely have out-of-network benefits, but you should call the customer service number to verify this.
I require full payment at the time of service.
A superbill is a receipt for insurance companies that let them know your diagnosis and procedure(s) you received in therapy. It will also state that you have already paid in full and that they should send any covered reimbursement directly to you.
I offer in-network benefits to clients with Aetna, Anthem, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, United Healthcare, Medical Mutual (some plans), Oscar Health, and Oxford insurance through a service called Headway. Other insurance plans may become covered in the future.
Please note that I am only in network using Headway. You must register with them to receive in-network benefits for the therapy work we do together.
I use Headway to manage my billing and admin work so I can place all of my focus on our work together. Headway manages everything related to payments and insurance to make things as easy as possible for you.
